What is a Milk Bank?
A Milk Bank safely collects, pasteurizes and distributes donated milk from screened mothers to babies who need it most. Just like a blood bank provides lifesaving blood, a milk bank provides lifesaving human milk.
At Mothers' Milk Bank Southeast, we are dedicated to our mission of providing safe, pasteurized donor human milk to the most vulnerable infants across our region. What began as a statewide effort in Tennessee has grown into a vital resource for families and hospitals across multiple states. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit accredited by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America, committed to ensuring that for premature and medically vulnerable babies, donor human milk is available as a life-saving bridge when a mother's own milk is limited or unavailable.

Research shows that feeding premature and low birth weight babies an exclusive human milk diet can reduce mortality by up to 75%.
